The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is releasing a revamped version of their Weekender smart phone app.

Until now, people traveling on the weekends had to check the weekender app to see planned service changes and then switch to the subway time app to see where the train was.

The newly revamped app now puts all that information together.

Besides train information, the weekender app -- unlike the subway time app -- provides the neighborhood maps that are posted inside subway stations.

To find out any planned changes simply load up the map, then click on your station.

And if you are on one of the number lines you can see how far away the train is. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
