The 16-year-old who was shot and killed outside a party in Brooklyn last week was remembered during a vigil Friday night.
Dozens of community members gathered in Brownsville to celebrate Iquan Williams' life with a religious service, balloon send-off and candlelight vigil.
Williams' parents spoke out about their hope that police will soon find those responsible.
"Just look around. I don't have to tell you anything. Look around. He was loved. My son was loved," said Tianna Greene, Iquan's father. "All we ask for, everybody that stands out here is asking for justice."
"I'm not going to wish bad on anybody," said Keith Williams, Iquan's father. "I just want the people to turn themself in and just make it right."
Family members said that they tried to keep Williams from going to the party after his brother read on Facebook that someone was planning to bring a gun.
A funeral for Williams is set for next week.
