Barnes and Noble has closed down one of its most famous Manhattan locations.
The bookstore chain has confirmed its store on Fifth Avenue and 18th street has been permanently shuttered.
The branch mainly served college students looking for textbooks, but Barnes and Noble said in a statement that the store has seen a steady drop in sales in the past 10 years thanks to campus bookstores and online shopping.
Anyone calling the store will redirected to the nearby Barnes and Noble on 17th street in Union Square.
This is the latest in a long series of recent Barnes and Noble closings, the most notable being the branch on Lincoln Square back in 2011.
