Police are looking to speak to a person of interest in connection with the killing of a Brooklyn man.
Police say Mahuddin Mahmud was found with a slashed throat in the basement of a building he owned on McDonald Avenue in Borough Park.
Police want to talk to Mohammed Siddiquee.
Friends say a safe was found empty.
"There is a apartment in the basement of the building that is rented out to an individual who we would like to talk with," said Police Commissioner William Bratton. "We are also basically conducting a full range of interviews with other people in the building to determine were there threats made against the victim in the past."
Mahumd is survived by his wife and three children.
