Police are asking for help in finding a suspect who they say shot a man in Brooklyn.

Police released surveillance video of the man that they say shot the 38-year-old victim in East New York around 9 a.m. Thursday.

A still image from the surveillance video can be seen above.

Police say the victim was walking in front of 5-13 Sheffield Avenue when the suspect shot him in the torso and neck.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where he's listed in serious but stable condition.

Police say the suspect ran away.
