Police are searching for a man who they say stole a car in the West Village while the owner was shoveling snow.

It happened on Christopher Street near Bedford Street Friday morning.

Police say that the victim, who works as a super, left his Dodge Ram running while he shoveled snow.

That's when a man in his 20s allegedly walked up, flashed a gun and then drove off in the victim's car.

The victim was not harmed.

Police are combing through surveillance video to identify the suspect.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
