A Brooklyn man is under arrest for allegedly punching women on the street and then running away.

Police say 35-year-old Barry Baldwin would approach the female victims from behind and punch them in the head.

Three of the victims were women in their 70s, while the other four were between the ages of 25 and 38.

The incidents occurred in November and December in several areas of Brooklyn.

Baldwin is being charged with nine counts of aggravated harassment as a hate crime, attempted assault and menacing.

However, sources say he may be emotionally disturbed, and the hate crime charges may be dropped.
