A great-grandmother is getting ready to mark her 100th birthday by receiving her long lost high school diploma.

Rose Shimony graduated from Brooklyn's Erasmus Hall High School in 1933, but lost her treasured diploma over the years.

Her sons wrote Schools Chancellor Dennis Walcott, requesting he send a replacement.

Walcott did one better, and delivered her new diploma himself on Friday.

"I have to thank Erasmus for giving me such a beautiful day. I'm upset I'm not dressed any better, but I'm thrilled for my wonderful children," Shimony said.

Rose's son, grandson and daughter-in-law were on hand to see her receive the diploma.

The family says it's a great way to mark her milestone birthday.
