If you have a special wish for the upcoming New Year, the Times Square Wishing Wall might help give you the luck you need.
The Times Square Alliance is inviting people to write their wishes on special paper, which will be shredded into colorful confetti to be thrown out over the crowds at midnight on New Year's Eve.
People from around the world have been leaving their hopes and dreams for 2014 all year long.
"Little simple things that make them happy, from a sports team winning, to a family member who's sick. So it's sort of the gamut. 'I wish to get good grades in Second grade', is what young Annika had to say. So you have some cute stuff like this. This one a little more popular on a night like New Year's Eve, 'I hope she says yes'," said Gary Winkler of the Times Square Alliance.
To submit a wish of your own in person, you can visit the Times Square Museum and Visitors Center.
You can also submit from home by visiting timessquarenyc.org.
