A city man is under arrest after getting into a gunfight with police in Queens early Friday morning.

According to police, when officers stopped a suspicious man in Far Rockaway around 12:30 a.m., he pulled a gun and opened fire.

The officers shot back, but no one was hit by any gunfire.

The man was caught a short time later, and a gun was recovered at the scene.

Police say the man suffered facial injuries not related to the gunshots and was taken to Kingsbrook Hospital.

Three officers were also taken to the hospital for tinnitus. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
