The United States Postal Service delivered another stamp price hike.
Postal regulators approved a 3 cent increase for first class stamps, bringing the price to 49 cents.
The independent postal regulatory commission justified the jump by citing a drop in mail handheld by the Post Office since 2008.
The new price goes into effect Jan. 26 and will last no longer than two years.
Regulators rejected requests to make the hike permanent.
The Postal Service says it lost $5 billion during its last fiscal year.
