Christmas came a little early this year for kids in Brooklyn's Marcy Houses.
Two hundred and fifty kids received gifts as part of the second annual toy giveaway put on by Gifted Community Services.
Each child received two toys and a $20 gift certificate to Toys R Us.
"We're focusing on the NYCHA children because people have a tendency to forget about NYCHA children, and they're just as important, if not more so, than the rest of the kids in the boroughs, in the community," said Marlene Steele, chief operating officer of Gifted Community Services.
Organizers hope that the event is even bigger next year.
