Concerned city residents will gather in Queens Sunday night to mourn an 8-year-old killed in a traffic accident last week and demand that the city do more to prevent traffic deaths.
Third grader Noshat Nahian was walking to school at P.S. 152 Friday morning when he was hit by a tractor trailer.
He died shortly after.
The truck driver has been charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Community members and activists will gather to demand stronger enforcement of traffic rules, and infrastructure improvements to help prevent future incidents.
