On Saturday, the Police Athletic League and tour operator City Sightseeing New York hosted their holiday party and toy drive for the fourth year in a row.

Kids at the annual event, which took place in Harlem, also weighed in on what Santa Claus himself might want for Christmas.

"I think Santa might want some more helpers, 'cause you know, the more kids that are being created, the more elves he's going to have to need," said one person.

"I would suggest a case of Red Bull. Keep 'em up," said Police Commissioner Ray Kelly. "He needs that energy, you know? He's getting up there in age. I know the feeling."

More than 3,500 toys were handed out to kids taking part in the PAL's programs.
