If you commute across the East River via ferry, Mayor Michael Bloomberg says that that service has been extended for five more years.

The service between East 34th Street in Manhattan and the DUMBO section of Brooklyn was scheduled to end next June, but now, it'll last until 2019 at the same fare.

Nearly 3 million people have used the service since it launched in 2011, three times what was originally estimated.
