The Mets reportedly agreed to a two-year deal with pitcher Bartolo Colon.
Sources say deal is for $20 million, pending a physical.
The 40-year-old Colon will help fill the hole in the rotation left by Matt Harvey, whose elbow reconstruction surgery will sideline him for 2014.
The three-time All Star has pitched for six teams, including the Yankees.
He won 18 games last year for the A's and he won a Cy Young in 2005 for the Angels.
This comes less than a week after the Mets announced signing outfielder Curtis Granderson to a four-year, $60 million dollar deal.
