Nelson Mandela will be honored with a plaque in Yankee Stadium's Monument Park.

The plaque will mark the late civil rights leader's historic trip to Yankee Stadium in 1990, just four months after being released from prison.

The unveiling will happen before the Yankees game against the Cubs on Jackie Robinson Day, Tuesday, April 15.

Mandela will be the 32nd person to have a plaque in Monument Park.

The list includes many of the great Yankees as well as three popes.

There's also a plaque dedicated to the victims of September 11th.
