The holiday season is going to the dogs Sunday, along with cats, goats, pigs and any other animal fit to be blessed.
It's the fifth annual Blessing Of the Animals at Christ Church, and all animals are welcome to bring their owners.
Just like last year, New York City Police Department horses will join hundreds of pets and farm animals for the ritual blessing by Christ Church Minister Stephen Bauman and Central Synagogue Rabbi Peter J. Rubinstein.
New York Post columnist Cindy Adams returns to host the Park Avenue event.
"This is Juicy, my daughter, this is Jazzy, my son, and because of them, I'm having the fifth annual Blessing of the Animals," Adams said. "It'll be 700 people with their dogs, cats, hamsters, gerbils, whatever."
The event is free, but participants are welcome to bring a toy to donate to the city's Animal Care and Control.
The event will take place at Christ Church of Manhattan, located at 520 Park Ave at 60th Street, this Sunday, December 8, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
