Officials say that a missing 5-year-old child last seen leaving her Manhattan apartment Tuesday night has been found.
The city's Office of Emergency Management canceled a missing persons alert for Nijaey Hylton at approximately 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Officials have not said where she was found or what condition she was in.
Police had said that Hylton was last seen with her uncle around 10 p.m. Tuesday when they left the home at 165 East 112th Street in East Harlem.
The uncle, 29-year-old Ramel Robinson, is a resident of Queens.
The two left in a car, according to police.
The child's mother was at work at the time.
Relatives say that Robinson had been hearing voices in his head and leaving cryptic messages on their answering machine.
There is no word on whether any arrests have been made.
