There is some controversy over Lady Liberty, but not the iconic landmark.

The United States Postal Service is being sued over a mistake on a stamp released in 2011.

The Postal Service intended for the stamp to feature an image of the real statue, but it actually featured an image of a replica on the Las Vegas Strip.

Now, the sculptor of the Las Vegas statue is suing the government for copyright infringement.

Attorneys for Robert Davidson argue that the Postal Service chose the replica because it was more "fresh faced" and "sultry" than the original.

The Postal Service hasn't commented on the suit.

The actual Statue of Liberty has appeared on more than 20 stamps.
