A disabled train is putting the brakes on some travelers' escape from Penn Station.

It's standing room only at this hour for New Jersey Transit and Amtrak travelers.

According to the New Jersey Transit website, a disabled train is causing trains to be delayed up to an hour.

However, even with all the travel warnings out there, people NY1 spoke with earlier in the day are keeping their hopes high.

"Well, it was smooth coming in from California earlier in the week," said one traveler. "Today, we just got from the hotel to here. So far, so good. Hopefully, it'll be just as good going upstate."

"So far, it's great," said another. "It's good. You know what? We're here on time, we're waiting for the train, then we're off."
