The National Weather Service has issued a "Red Flag Warning" for the city from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday.

The weather service says that dry conditions and gusty winds will increase the risk of dangerous brush fires.

Residents are encouraged to be extra cautious when lighting fires, discarding cigarettes or using any ignition source outdoors, including gas and charcoal grills.

They are advised to keep their lawn, trees and plants well watered, and to dispose of any trash and debris on their property.

For more information on fire safety, dial 311.
