A 65-year-old woman is dead and four others injured after a crash that took place in East Harlem Monday.

According to police, a box truck and cab collided at the intersection of Park Avenue and East 102nd Street at approximately 12:50 p.m. Monday.

Police say the truck ran up on the sidewalk and hit Olga Rivera.

She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

"I said, 'Wow, what happened?' Then I heard somebody screaming," said Josua Santiago, a witness. "I live on the 12th floor right there, so I could see everything out the window. It just happened instantly. I'm like, 'What's going on?' It's a tragedy."

The two people in the taxi, as well as two others, were taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital.

The truck driver was not injured. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
