Two people were killed Monday morning after a driver lost control of his car in Queens.

Police say the 22-year-old driver of a yellow Camaro was speeding on Queens Boulevard near Broadway when he lost control.

They say he hit a phone booth, a light post and two parked cars before jumping a curb and hitting two pedestrians.

One was pronounced dead at the scene the other died at the hospital.

"He had to be flying. Because there is no way you could have that much debris going all the way down there. He had to get doing at least close to 70 miles an hour," said one witness.

Police have the driver in custody for two outstanding warrants.

There was no immediate word on what, if any, charges he will face in connection with the accident.
