Authorities believe high winds may have caused a construction shed to collapse and hurt four people in Manhattan Friday morning.
It happened just after 10 a.m. on West 40th Street and Seventh Avenue.
Fire officials say three people were taken to Bellevue Hospital.
A firefighter was also taken to Roosevelt Hospital with minor injuries.
One witness tells NY1 he helped pull one of the pedestrians to safety.
"It was wind. As soon as the wind came, it was a powerful wind, it just dropped. As we said, I'm standing and I'm like in shock. I just see a lady screaming and we all run over there and lift it up and pull her out," said the witness.
The city Department of Buildings has issued a warning to property owners to secure construction sites and buildings as a high wind advisory is in effect through 2 p.m.
