A Manhattan hospital is evaluating a number of patients and workers who may have been exposed to tuberculosis.
St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital says a worker in the maternity ward tested positive for the disease.
Some newborns may have also been vulnerable to infection.
The hospital released a statement saying all patients who may be at risk of contracting TB have been notified and provided with necessary testing and evaluation.
Medical experts say tuberculosis can be easily treated with early detection.
