A pedestrian was hospitalized Friday morning after being struck by a taxi in Manhattan.

Amateur video captured the scene in SoHo near the intersection of Spring Street and Crosby Street.

Witnesses say the unidentified man in his 30's was run over by the cab around 8:30 a.m.

The 30-year-old driver was apparently turning the corner at the time.

The victim's left leg was reportedly pinned underneath the vehicle, and firefighters needed to use a jack to free him.

The man was transported to a local hospital in serious condition.
