Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly shot and killed a teen in the Bronx.

It happened around 7 p.m. Wednesday in front of 2622 Jerome Avenue in Kingsbridge Heights.

Police say they found 17-year-old Michael Beltre shot in the face when they arrived on the scene.

They believe he was having a conversation with a group of people when shots were fired.

Those NY1 spoke with said that Beltre was a good kid.

"He was focused on his school stuff. He wasn't cheapin' in the streets or none of that," said one. "He was a good kid. He was a good kid. He was always in school. Funny kid."

"He was a very quiet guy," said another. "He would come here after school and then go to play baseball."

Sources say he may have known his attacker.
