Queens-based JetBlue Airlines is going red to salute the city's fire department.
The airline showed off its new bright red aircraft Wednesday morning with a low-flying plane over the Hudson River.
JetBlue had the Airbus A320 painted red with the FDNY shield to raise awareness for the FDNY Foundation.
The not-for-profit promotes fire safety and professional development, training, and education of FDNY members.
About 250 JetBlue crew members are retired members of the department.
The red jet will be added to the airline's fleet.
