Police say the simple arrest of a Brooklyn fare-jumper Saturday also turned up a dangerous weapon.

Damien McKoy, 24, was spotted by police hopping a subway turnstile at the Park Place S station early Saturday morning.

According to police, when officers approached, McKoy bolted out of the shuttle at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden stop, but police caught up with him and allegedly found a loaded .45 caliber semi-automatic handgun with eight bullets loaded in the magazine.

McKoy is charged with criminal possession of a weapon, resisting arrest and several other charges. ClientIP:,, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
