The New York City Police Department on Saturday announced the eighth arrest in the case of the motorcycle ride that turned violent in Manhattan last month.
Kaliq Douglas, 28, pleaded not guilty to assault charges at arraignment Saturday and was released on $25,000 bail.
Police say the Brooklyn man was among a group of bikers who chased an SUV up the Henry Hudson Parkway, pulled the driver out and attacked him in Washington Heights.
Several other bikers have been charged, including NYPD detective Wojciech Braszczok, who prosecutors say was seen punching the window of an SUV that ran over fellow biker Edwin Mieses.
According to an internal investigation by the NYPD, as many as six off-duty officers may have been riding with the group, but not all participated in the violence.
It does not appear that Kaliq Douglas is connected to the department.
