Police have put out new surveillance video as they hunt for the man accused of sexually assaulting a young girl in his SUV in Queens.
The NYPD last night released the video showing the silver, four-door SUV being driven around on Sunday.
Sources say around 2:30 that afternoon, the driver pulled up to a group of girls near Lincoln Street and 116th Avenue in South Ozone Park.
They say he asked the girls if they were interested in modeling, then lured the victim into his car.
"He tells them in essence that he is an agent working for Nikki Minaj and he is looking for models and that they are pretty and attractive," said Police Commissioner Ray Kelly.
Sources say the man took pictures of the girl, committed a sex act, and threatened her before letting her go a few blocks away.
The girl called 911 and was taken to a nearby hospital.
People who spoke with NY1 in the neighborhood said they wished the victim had been more aware of the risk.
"She wasn't aware or knowledgeable about what really needs to happen when strangers come up," said one South Ozone Park resident.
"My daughter knows that if she doesn't know somebody, if she doesn't know them personally or she knows I know them do not interact with them," said another South Ozone Park resident.
The suspect is described as being in his 20's, and weighing about 200 pounds.
He was last seen wearing jeans, a white shirt, red jacket and red sneakers, and he had a silver chain hanging on his waist.
