The man mauled by a tiger after jumping into a den at the Bronx Zoo learned his fate Tuesday.
The Bronx District Attorney says that 25-year-old David Villalobos has been ordered to enroll and complete one year of mental health treatment after pleading guilty to trespassing.
Police say he was riding the Wild Asia monorail in September of 2012 when he leaped from the ride over a 16-foot fence and into a tiger enclosure below.
Villalobos was attacked by a 400-pound Siberian tiger and bitten all over his body.
He told investigators he wanted to be "one with the tiger."
