Tuesday marks 10 years since the Staten Island ferry crashed, killing 11 people and injuring dozens more.
During the 2003 incident, the Andrew J. Barberi ferry slammed into a concrete pier at the St. George terminal at full speed.
The ferry's pilot, Richard Smith, lost consciousness while at the ship's controls.
He plead guilty to manslaughter and was sentenced to 18 months in prison.
The crash led to sweeping procedural changes on the boats.
