Police Commissioner Ray Kelly says the police are redoubling their effort to find a Queens boy who has been missing for 10 days.

According to Kelly, there are more than 100 officers working to find 14-year-old Avonte Oquendo.

Avonte, who is autistic, was last seen leaving his Long Island City school on October 4.

After combing the subway, officers are looking into the possibility that Avonte might have boarded a train and traveled beyond the city's borders.

"We've broadened that sear we're engaging the help of New Jersey officials, Long Island officials. We know that the young man was fascinated by trains. It was possible that he got on a train," Kelly said.

A $70,000 reward is being offered for any information on Avonte's whereabouts.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit
