The scandal surrounding last month's Manhattan motorcycle road rage incident is growing.

Top law enforcement sources tell NY1 that the number of police officers involved in the September 29 ride is up to six.

Sources say that number could rise.

Detective Wojciech Braszczok has already been arraigned after prosecutors say he is seen on video banging on the windows of the SUV that ran over Edwin Mieses.

Sources say there is no indication the other officers participated in the violence.

Altogether, eight people have been arrested, and seven charged, for their roles in the harrowing affair on the Henry Hudson Parkway.

It ended with the SUV driver being beaten in Washington Heights.

Meanwhile, one of the seven accused bikers is firing back through his lawyer.

The attorney for Clint Caldwell says that SUV driver Alexian Lien sparked the madness by hurling a water bottle out of his Range Rover in the direction of the swarming bikers.

Lien and his family have stayed mostly silent since the incident.

Caldwell's attorney says his client was misidentified. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
