The parents who lost two of their children, allegedly at the hands of their nanny, inside their Upper West Side Home nearly a year ago announced the birth of their newest child Friday.
In a message posted to the Facebook page of a fund devoted to the memory of their deceased children, Marina and Kevin Krim wrote: "We are very excited to share with you that Felix Harrison Krim, all 8 pounds, 10 ounces, and 21.5 inches of him, arrived today. Marina, Felix and all of us are healthy and happy."
Meanwhile, the case against the nanny, 50-year-old Yoselyn Ortega, slowly makes it way through the legal system.
Ortega, who is charged with two counts of murder, was recently declared mentally fit to stand trial.
She is accused of stabbing 6-year-old Lucia Krim and her 1-year-old brother, Leo. on October 25 of last year, before turning the knife on herself.
Ortega is next scheduled to appear in Manhattan Criminal Court exactly one year to the day from when the killings took place.
