Time Warner Cable has inked a new, multi-year deal with Univision Communications.
The pact wins Time Warner Cable renewed distribution rights for Univision's portfolio of Hispanic networks and content.
Included in the deal are Univision Network, UniMas, Galavision, De Pelicula and Bandamax.
Time Warner Cable customers will also now receive new offerings, like Univision Deportes, Univision tlNovelas, FOROtv and, beginning at the end of the year, the English-language, young-adult-themed El Rey Network.
As part of the agreement, the companies will partner on local news gathering, meaning that NY1 and NY1 Noticias will be closely working with the New Jersey-based Univision 41.
Time Warner Cable is the parent company of NY1.
