The mysterious British artist Banksy strikes again, this time in Brooklyn, and the owner of the building is taking steps to protect the work.
As part of his month-long city installation named "Better Out Than In," Banksy tagged the side of a Red Hook building with a red balloon.
The building owner put Plexiglas over the piece after it was defaced earlier in the day.
The graffiti is attracting viewers from across the five boroughs.
"I've been one of the biggest fans, I've been following for six years and even got a tattoo," said one person. "And yeah, really exciting, especially in the neighborhood."
"It's been like this all day pretty much, just people stopping by," said another. "I spoke to some young men who came from the Bronx just to see the piece of work. So it's pretty cool."
