The New York City Police Department on Monday announced the arrest of a man wanted in connection to an attack in Manhattan's Fort Tryon Park.

Police say Oscar Ruiz, 35, was picked up in New Jersey.

No word yet on charges.

Investigators say Ruiz assaulted a woman along the park's bike path last Friday.

They say he approached her with a broken bottle while she was pushing her baby in a stroller.

Police say the two struggled and she hit her attacker in the head with a bicycle pump before he ran off.

The mother and child were not injured.
