Police are asking for the public's help in locating a missing teenager who is unable to care for himself.

Avonte Oquendo, 14, was last seen early Friday afternoon leaving Center Boulevard School in Long Island City.

Surveillance video of Oquendo shows him running from the school Friday.

Oquendo is unable to speak.

He is described as 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighing around 125 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a gray striped shirt, black jeans and black sneakers.
