A candlelight vigil was held Friday night for a mother shot to death in Brooklyn.
Nicoleia Taylor's family and neighbors came together to pray for her.
Police say Taylor was shot by a stray bullet Tuesday morning as she was walking outside the Lafayette Gardens housing project.
The 24-year-old nurse was about to celebrate a birthday.
Her brothers said she was always optimistic.
"She was a hard-working woman. Wherever she went, she always brought the laughs, she always brought the fun, the smiles on people's faces," said one. "She never had nothing negative. She was a good woman. She ain't deserve this at all."
Police say Corey Brown was the shooter.
He is still at large.
