A Con Edison employee was stabbed on his way to work Thursday, bringing chaos to a normally quiet Staten Island neighborhood.

Police say the 33-year-old victim was attacked by two men.

It happened just before 6 a.m. in front of a home on Murray Street in Tottenville.

They say the victim was walking to his truck when he was stabbed multiple times.

Officials say he is in the hospital and remains in serious condition.

Investigators don't believe the incident was a robbery.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
