The man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend after sending her daughters out to buy food has died.
The family of Eric McCormick, 40, took him off life support Monday evening.
Police say he shot himself in the torso last Thursday after officers tracked him to a home in the upstate town of Hurleyville.
McCormick's ex-girlfriend, Sellis Gonzales, 44, pictured left, was shot to death in her Brooklyn apartment on September 18.
Investigators say he shot her multiple times after sending her daughters to a local restaurant.
The girls found their mother lying on the floor when they returned.
