Police made an arrest Tuesday in connection with a attack that occurred in a Brooklyn subway station last month.

Police believe that 25-year-old Leon Sims is the man seen in the above surveillance picture.

Police say that on September 22, Sims approached a man who was waiting for a train at the Ralph Avenue C train station in Brownsville and began beating him with a pipe, causing the man to fall onto the train tracks.

The man was not seriously injured.

Sims has been charged with two counts of felony assault.

Police say he has been arrested before for assault, once for hitting a man with a brick in Brooklyn and the other time for assaulting his grandmother with a cane.

It's not yet known whether Sims is connected to a brick attack that occurred in Manhattan, but police do say they arrested someone in that case.

Andrew Billington was hit over the head with a brick on September 21 after leaving a Hell's Kitchen concert venue.

Police say the attacker went through the victim's pockets but did not take anything. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
