A Bronx woman is saying she's been punished enough for running a charity scam for victims of the Newtown, Conn. school shooting.

Nouel Alba pleaded guilty in June to charges she posed as the aunt of one of the 20 children killed and asked for donations to what she called a "funeral fund."

Her lawyers are arguing for a sentence of five years probation.

Federal prosecutors say Alba should serve at least one year in prison.

Authorities say Alba solicited donations via Facebook as well as calls and text messages for the so-called funeral fund.

She's scheduled to be sentenced on October 15. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
