People who were injured or became ill as a result of the September 11th attacks have one week to register for the Victims Compensation Fund.
The deadline is October 3.
First responders and survivors who were injured or became ill as a result of the attacks in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania are eligible for benefits under the Zadroga Act.
The registration allows applicants the right to file a claim once they are found eligible.
Officials say more than 34,000 people have registered so far.
