Investigators looking into the drowning of a Brooklyn High School student during a class field trip have cleared the chaperones of any wrongdoing.
The special commissioner of investigation for city schools recently wrapped up an investigation into the death of 16-year-old Jean Fritz Pierre, who drowned on June 24.
Officials say he was one of 48 kids and five chaperones on a trip to Bear Mountain.
The group was from International High School in Prospect Park.
Officials say that while field trip rules were followed, there were a number of students who simply did not listen to warnings not to go in the lake.
The report says that Pierre was with another student when he started having trouble in the water, but that student was unable to help him.
