A 13-year-old Brooklyn boy is in stable condition after being shot in the groin in a Brooklyn park.

The incident occurred on around 7:45 p.m. Friday on a basketball court inside Canarsie Park on East 92nd Street.

Sources tell NY1 that one person was chasing another person in the park when shots were fired.

Sources tell NY1 that approximately five shots were fired.

The 13-year-old was not the intended target, according to sources.

He is being treated at Brookdale University Hospital.

Police say no one is in custody and that the investigation is ongoing.
