One of the sweetest small businesses in Brooklyn is hoping to get even sweeter.
The Salty Road Taffy company is hoping to raise as much money as possible over the next 10 days.
The company will use the money to stretch their business into a new factory in Brooklyn to increase production.
The company says people love the taste of their taffy because they use traditional methods and ingredients.
"I actually started pulling it by hand for a store in the Rockaways called Veggie Island, and then when I started researching, it turned out there were no New York City taffy makers, and that's when I really started trying to peddle it and making it for stores to sell," said Slaty Road Owner Marisa Wu.
Having already met their goal of $10,000, Salty Road Taffy hopes raise an additional $7,000 to pay for more equipment.
